How your data is used in bug reports
What is collected when you shake your phone to report a bug and what we do with it.
Overview
Meu Carango lets you tell the team when something goes wrong: you shake your phone and the app asks "Reportar um bug?" (Report a bug?). This page explains what is sent in that report and what we do with it. The purpose is to investigate and fix the problem.
What you send
After you confirm, the app opens a sheet titled "O que aconteceu?" (What happened?). It contains:
- a description you write, up to 2000 characters;
- a screenshot of the screen you were on, taken before the sheet opens and always sent with the report (there is no option to turn it off);
What is sent automatically
- app version and build;
- operating system (iOS or Android) and its version;
- device model;
- language, taken from the device's Accept-Language header;
- the screen (route) you were on when you shook the phone, when available;
- whether you were logged in or a visitor and, when logged in, your account identifier and its email address;
- the Sentry error event id, when one exists.
What we do with the report
- We store the report and the screenshot on our servers.
- Reports are kept for the team and may be forwarded to the team's issue tracker. That forwarding depends on configuration and may not be active.
- We send a confirmation email only to logged-in users, at their account email, with the report id and the text they sent. Visitors do not receive an email.
Limits
To prevent abuse, each IP address can send up to 5 reports per hour, and each account email receives up to 3 confirmations per day. Above the report limit, the submission is refused; above the email limit, the report is still recorded but the confirmation is not sent.
Questions about your data
To learn how we handle personal data in general, read the Privacy Policy (currently available in Portuguese). If you have any question about a report, contact support.
